ERP Development

Custom ERP development and modernisation

We design, build and support custom ERP systems for distribution and supply businesses — inventory, purchasing, order management, invoicing and reporting in one system that matches how the business actually runs. Techoptionz has kept a production ERP live for a US autobody parts distributor since 2020.

What you get out of it

  • One system of record instead of spreadsheets and disconnected tools
  • Order-to-invoice cycles that match your real workflow, not a vendor's template
  • Live inventory and pricing across multiple branches and warehouses
  • Reporting your finance team can act on without exporting to Excel

Questions

ERP Development FAQs

How long does a custom ERP take to build?
A first production module typically ships in three to five months, with further modules delivered incrementally. We deliberately avoid big-bang launches: the first module goes live and earns its keep while the next is built, which keeps risk and cash outlay low.
Is a custom ERP cheaper than SAP, Odoo or NetSuite?
Licence cost is lower and there are no per-seat fees, but the honest comparison is fit. Off-the-shelf ERP is cheaper when your processes are standard. Custom ERP wins when your processes are the competitive advantage — which is the usual case in specialist distribution, where pricing rules, cores, returns and multi-branch stock do not fit a generic template.
Will you support an ERP your team did not build?
Yes. We take on inherited systems after a paid audit of the codebase, data model and infrastructure, which tells us — and you — whether the system is worth extending or should be replaced in stages.

Have a project worth scoping properly?

Tell us what you are trying to build. If it is a fit we will say so, and if it is not we will tell you that too.
